“Is +17 hours a lot?”
Coaching other people in extreme environments requires a certain level of insights and tools. This is not studied on Google or by watching YOUTUBE or a sauna master throw a towel around. So Yes it takes a bit of time, but invest in yourself and your future clients. To be honest 2 days is not much. I have almost 10 years of research and deep dive into these specific areas. I have boiled this down to what corresponds to 2 days of work for you! If you think 2 days is a lot, just think about my 10 years. 2 days is fair and manageable. All video content is 5-10 minutes long. It’s self-paced and so easy to follow with clickable links etc. It’s a quick course, so you can coach your client with science backed protocols and with safety.
What is Vagal-Mediated Heart Rate Variability?

Vagal-mediated heart rate variability is the fluctuation in time intervals between consecutive heartbeats influenced by the parasympathetic nervous system, specifically the Vagus nerve.
In simpler terms, it measures the autonomic nervous system's ability to regulate heart rate in response to various internal and external stressors.
Higher heart rate variability is generally associated with better cardiovascular health and enhanced adaptability to stressors.
In sports, the body needs to recover after exercising and feeling tired. This is done by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system. A way to measure this recovery is by looking at heart rate variability, specifically through the root mean square of successive differences.
What Are the Best Methods for Recovering After Physical Exercise?
According to a study by Katsuji Imai, MD, and colleagues, there are various recovery methods after physical exercise, such as active recovery, massage therapy, compression garments, stretching, hyperbaric therapy, cryotherapy, muscle electrostimulation, and water immersion.
Each method has benefits that improves the body's recovery process by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation. Post-exercise recovery techniques are important for reducing muscle soreness and preventing injury.
Some methods involve applying pressure and cold temperatures, while others use special equipment or techniques. These methods can be used alone or in combination for optimal recovery. They help the body return to its natural state after physical exertion.
